Geodynamics in the context of vibrations induced by rail traffic (Geodynamics and vibrations due to trains)

Funded by EEA Grants – Fund for Bilateral Relations As a key component of this initiative, a lecture and an advanced course were recently held at the Lusófona University of Porto. The lecture, entitled “Offshore Wind Structures: dynamics and earthquake aspects”, was given by Professor Amir Kaynia and took place on 30th of March.

As an important part of this initiative, a group of activities is scheduled for March 2022, at Lusófona University of Porto (ULP):
  1. lecture “Offshore Wind Structures: dynamics and earthquake aspects”;
  2. advanced course “Soil Dynamics and Engineering Applications”

April 2021

A project dedicated to the themes of geodynamics and vibrations induced by rail traffic started in the first months of this year, which is financed by the Fund for Bilateral Relations (EEA Grants).
